Autumn is the time for harvesting the products of summer. In the Langhe, an area in Piedmont which is world-famous for its wines, autumn is a particularly blessed season.

It is here that some of the best Italian wines are born, such as Barolo, Dolcetto d’Alba and Nebbiolo d’Alba. 

The wine harvest has always been a festive event in the area. It begins between September and November and represents the conclusion and crowning of the efforts of local winemakers. 

Today, as in the past, the grapes are harvested in the coolest hours of the day, when the dew has dried up and the grapes reflect the first rays of the sun. 

The landscape is idyllic: low and rolling hills covered with vines, red, gold and brown.

Diano d’Alba, Barolo, Castiglione Falletto, Cerreto Langhe and many other villages come alive in this period. A path between the vine rows is an itinerary among sensations.
